Our Story
At Wildlife Legends Taxidermy, every mount represents more than a trophy — it represents a memory, a story, and a moment earned in the field.
Since 2007, award-winning wildlife artist and master taxidermist Matt Diemer has dedicated his work to preserving those moments with lifelike accuracy, artistic craftsmanship, and deep respect for the animal.
Located in McBain, Michigan, Wildlife Legends Taxidermy serves hunters and anglers from across the state who are willing to travel for trusted experience and proven results. As a family-owned studio, Matt and his wife Kate take pride in creating a welcoming environment where customers can share their hunting stories, discuss mount ideas, and feel confident their trophy is in skilled hands.
Continual learning and professional growth are a cornerstone of his work. Matt regularly studies live reference, photography, and advanced techniques to refine realism in every project. He has competed in respected state and national competitions, including the Michigan Taxidermy Competition, the Ohio Taxidermy Competition, and the World Taxidermy Championships. Competing in the Masters Division — the highest level of competition — has strengthened his commitment to excellence and raised the standard of craftsmanship he brings to each client’s mount.
Faith, hard work, and the belief that his artistic abilities are a God-given talent continue to shape the way Matt approaches his craft. His goal is not only to create a finished mount, but to honor the experience behind it and provide clients with a lasting piece they are proud to display.
From whitetail deer and big game to fish, birds, and full-body habitat mounts, Wildlife Legends Taxidermy offers personalized designs tailored to each customer’s vision.
